Our Fenny Castle Barrel Fermented Ortega 2015 has been awarded a second silver medal!
The Independent English Wine Awards is a brand new competition held in Bristol at the trendy Rummer Hotel. It was brilliantly organised by Alex Taylor with 20 judges including the broadcaster and journalist Susy Atkins and wine consultant Liam Steevenson MW and others from all areas of the wine industry. I too was a judge, although for obvious reasons I didn't come into contact with my own wine!
For my part the competition was superbly organised and brought together wines from some of England's most respected producers. The medal haul of 3 gold, 27 Silver and 24 Bronze shows the quality of the wines put before the judges.
All the team at Fenny Castle are delighted with the award and recognition that our wines can hold their own with the best in the English wine industry.
