Our vineyard cottage is a cosy converted cow barn with an open plan living room and kitchen with large inglenook fireplace and wood burner, a double bedroom and a luxury shower room. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and a small single bed suitable for a child.
The cottage has a loveable charm with its exposed elm beams and stonework and the thick stone walls that keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Sympathetically decorated with neutral tones and an eclectic collection of antiques, reclaimed and contemporary furnishings, as well as local artwork depicting scenes of the Somerset Levels, it really is a restful place to stay.
The city of Wells is just two miles away with its fantastic cathedral and Bishops Palace. As well as an interesting mix of shops, pubs and restaurants. Wells market on Wednesday and Saturday is one of the few remaining weekly markets and has an amazing range of local food produces and craft stalls.
The cottage is ideally situated for a holiday exploring the beautiful Somerset countryside and villages.
Bath and Bristol are both easily accessible from the cottage, perfect for day trips to see the sites. Quirky Glastonbury is a scenic cycle across the Levels away (or short drive), with hippy shops galore, picturesque abbey ruins and the iconic Tor.
